Albert W. Manning

Albert W. Manning, 94, of East Providence, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dominga M. (Nasimento) Manning to whom he was married for 70 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Charles and Doris (Lucas) Manning.

Mr. Manning was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Organic Chemical Company as a dye mixer for 34 years before retiring. He was a former board member of the East Providence Boys and Girls Club. He also, was an avid bowler who enjoyed boating, traveling and going for walks with his wife.

Besides his wife he leaves four children, Wayne Manning of Fall River, Doris Wigginton and her husband Andrew of East Providence, Gerry Manning and his wife Yvette of Foster and Kim Manning of Florida, eight grandchildren, Bryan Wigginton, Ashley Anderson, Aubrey Manning, Nicholas Manning, Gerry Manning, Jr., Ellington Manning, Brianna and Christian Morris, three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wigginton, Aiden and Aurora Manning and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by five siblings.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 N. Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Calling hours Tuesday, 4-7.
