Anna S. (Martinelli) Sepe, known affectionately as Anna by all who cherished her, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, at the Evergreen Nursing Center in East Providence, Rhode Island. Born on September 30, 1935, in Providence, Anna was a beacon of light and love throughout her 88 years.

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Oscar Sepe, Jr., and the cherished daughter of the late Angelo and Anna (Lombardo) Martinelli. She was the devoted mother of Dino Sepe and his wife Marie of Washington and David Sepe and his wife Laurie of Riverside. Her brother Eugene Martinelli of Cranston, sister Jeanne Tomao of Johnston, and her late twin brother Angelo Martinelli and sister Delores Phillips, held a special place in her heart. Anna's joy was multiplied as a grandmother to Amanda, David, Daniel, and Annali, and she was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. The staff of the Evergreen House, who cared for her with profound kindness, became like family to Anna in her final years.

Anna's professional life was marked by her passion for bringing joy and engagement to others. For over 21 years, she served as the Activities Director at the Evergreen House, where her creativity and enthusiasm enriched the lives of many residents. Before her time at Evergreen, Anna contributed her talents to the R.I. Department of Motor Vehicles. A resident of East Providence since 1955, after moving from the Silver Lake area of Providence, Anna's impact on her community was profound and long-lasting.

A woman of faith and service, Anna was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church. Her leadership abilities shone brightly as she took on the role of former president of the Sons of Italy, Women's Auxiliary. Anna's spirit and generosity knew no bounds, and her passion for life was evident to all who knew her.

Anna's interests painted the picture of a life well-lived and full of joy. She was an adventurer at heart, enjoying travels that took her to new and exciting places. Yet, Anna's greatest delight was found in the simple pleasure of spending quality time with her family. The moments shared with her loved ones were the ones she treasured most, creating memories that will be held close to their hearts forever.

Described by those who loved her as generous, spirited, and passionate, Anna's legacy is one of boundless love and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her warmth and vivacity will be deeply missed, but the imprint she left on the world will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

As we say farewell to Anna S. (Martinelli) Sepe, we celebrate a life that was filled to the brim with compassion, laughter, and an indomitable spirit that uplifted everyone it touched. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and love she shared with so many. Anna's journey through life was a testament to the beauty of a generous heart, and she will be lovingly remembered for generations to come.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday May 2,2024 at 8:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00 pm – 7:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers , donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904.
