Apostolos A. “Paul” Zafiriades, 50, of Beverly Road, Riverside, died unexpectedly on October 19, 2022.

Born in Haverhill, MA, a son of Eva (Lazos) Zafiriades of Riverside and the late Vasilios Zafiriades, he lived in Riverside for 44 years.

Mr. Zafiriades was a former cook at Town Pizza Restaurant, Riverside and Hope Street Pizza, Providence for many years.

Paul enjoyed playing basketball, reading and listening to music. He was a faithful follower of the Grateful Dead and will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and one-liners.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Cote Zafiriades of East Providence; a sister, Lena Zafiriades and her husband Saki of Barrington; two nephews, Christos and Vasilios; a niece, Evyenia and a granddaughter, Penelope Zafiriades.

His Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2022 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon.
