If you have not met Ed, Sr and Eddie Serowik and talked with them about their days tak-ing care of Crescent Park, you have only one more opportunity to hear these wonderful stories. The Eds had a “standing room only” crowd at the Weaver Library. Gordon and Baxter Bear will return with many more furry friends to tell the story of Joseph Bucklin Bishop and his friendship with Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt. (Joseph was a local boy raised at 232 Pleasant Street.) Come and try your hand at rolling a hoop or walking on stilts. And this is a great time to dig into your family history at our research center.
Upcoming: “Love” at the Indoor Court -Tom Brun, speaker
Weaver Library - Monday, December 11 - 6:30 pm

Did you know that East Providence is home to the oldest continuously used tennis court in the United States? This 1914 structure on Blanding Avenue is still hosting a full roster of loyal tennis players from all over the area. And the court opened officially on October 31, 1915 with a Tennis Ball - get it?
