Helen L. (Flanagan) Walsh 85, of Winthrop Street, Riverside, died peacefully on October 25, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich.

Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Kennedy) Flanagan, she lived in Riverside for the past 20 years, previously residing in Westerly, RI.

Mrs. Walsh was a clerk in the Westerly Town Hall for 25 years before retiring in 2002.

Helen was communicant of St. Brendan Church and was a board member of the AARP. She enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, dining out and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony P. Walsh and his wife Robin of Westerly and William A. Walsh Jr. of Riverside; two grandchildren, Jennifer Walsh and her wife Shannon of Mystic, CT and Kelly Walsh Mason and her husband Leroy of Westerly; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Niya Walsh of Mystic, CT. She was the mother of the late Thomas Walsh and sister of the late Thomas Flanagan, Ann Nazareth, Mildred Flanagan and Mary Golden.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday October 29, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. A graveside burial will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
