Rhode Island residents are taking a giant step forward in the fight against lung cancer, participating in the Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s Rhode Island Free to Breathe Walk. On Saturday, October 13, 2018, hundreds of local residents and members of the lung cancer community will hit the pavement for a three-mile or 1-mile walk around Slater Memorial Park, all in an effort to help raise lung cancer awareness and increase research funding for this deadly disease.
The event begins at 8:30am with welcome comments and fundraising awards followed by the walk portion of the event at 8:45am.
