Mona L. Breault

Mona L. Breault 93, of Rumford, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

She was born in Rumford, RI, the daughter of the late George O. and Anne S. (Vatcher) Breault, Sr. and received her education in RI schools. Mona was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1951.

Mona was a lifetime member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association and a member of the East Providence Historical Society Membership Committee. She also served as the Historical Society’s secretary for many years.

Mona was predeceased by her brother George O Breault, Jr., her sister-in-law Julia R. Breault and her nephew Howard W. Breault. Mona is survived by her nieces Debra Desrosiers of Lowell, MA, Jacquelyn Breault of Hudson, NH, great-nephews Adam and Matt Desrosiers, Kevin Breault; great-nieces Shawnasey Madison-Luszey, and Kaydence Breault; great-great nephews Oliver, Noah, and great-great niece Maria; several cousins and many good friends.

Mona enjoyed the weekly friend and family dinners and events at her very close friend Patricia Henry’s home. She enjoyed going to the cape and traveling with her friends.

Her funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Margaret Church would be appreciated.
