Richard A. Silva

Richard A. Silva, 78, of Lottie Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on June 28, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Julie A. (Aldrich) Silva.

Born in Providence, the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Lopes) Silva, he lived in Riverside for 59 years.

Mr. Silva worked at American Welding, West Greenwich for 46 years, retiring as Vice President and General Manager in 2018.

Richard enjoyed designing and building home renovation projects for his family and friends and with his beloved Cub Cadet, he was always there snow plowing his neighbors driveways after every snow storm.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by two daughters, Marie E. Silva-Golembiesky and her husband Clifford of Cumberland and Christine A. Sullivan and her husband Rennie of North Kingstown; two sisters, Elizabeth Vieira and Donna Waycott both of Riverside and four loving grandchildren, Zachary, Kyle, Derek and Jake Sullivan.

His Funeral will be held on Saturday July 1, 2023 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
