Theresa Griffin

Theresa Griffin, 88, of Riverside, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Griffin.


Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Attridge) Bannon. Mrs. Griffin owned and operated Wicker of Oz, wicker furnishings in East Providence until she retired. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, baking as well as shopping on QVC. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was so loved and will be terribly missed by all that knew her.

She leaves two children, David Griffin and his wife Dawn of West Greenwich, Donna Lonschein and her husband Bob of Seekonk, four grandchildren, Ashley Gallagher, Megan Griffin, Brittany Estrela, Casey Bergeron, three great-grandchildren, Isabelle Estrela, Myles Estrela, and Wesley Bergeron. She was the sister of the late, James Bannon, John Bannon, Mary Quinlan, and Margaret McLaughlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in St Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington, Rhode Island. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, Rhode Island. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
