Virginia Theresa "Princess" Iacono, 79, of East Providence, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Herbert L. George, Sr. and Angelina A. (Roukous) George. Virginia worked at Roger Williams Hospital before she retired.

She leaves three children, Gina M. Iacono, Janice L. Strain and her husband Daniel and Julie L. Cabana and her husband Donald, five grandchildren, Tyler Strain, Matthew Cabana, Andrew Cabana, Colin Strain, and Laura Cabana, three sisters, Millie Blessing and her husband Thomas, Ann Marie Corriveau, Esq. and her partner Linwood Straight, and Theresa Venditto and her husband Gary, one brother, William George and his wife Karen, and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Ryan William Iacono-Strain and sister of the late Herbert L. George, Jr. and Thomas J. George.

A Mass of Maronite Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be private.
