Dorothy J. Regan, 96, of Rehoboth, died January 7, 2024 in her home. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Regan. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Jane (Toomey) Mariani.

Dorothy worked as an administrative assistant for Madonna Manor, in North Attleboro. She and her husband loved the beach, spending summers traveling to Atlantic City, Cape Cod, and Maine. She was creative, expressing herself with a flair for decorating her home with antiques and stained glass windows. She also had a flair for fashion traits that she passed on to her children. Her true legacy will be her devotion to her family and her deep faith living by example a life of prayerful kindness reflected in her love and respect for all persons.

She is survived by her eight children, Dorothy Joan Goff and her husband James, of Pawtucket, Jane Catherine Shaw and her husband Michael, of Harmony, Hope Mary Regan, of Cumberland, Mary Beth Whittaker and her husband Brian, of South Attleboro, Joseph Mark Regan, Jr. and his wife Robin, of Smithfield, Colleen Theresa Regan of North Providence, Kevin Francis Regan and his partner Kurt Smith, of Hudson, NY, and Brian Lewis Regan and his wife Linda, of Rehoboth, MA. She leaves ten grandchildren; Angela Regan, Crystal Regan, Jennifer Goff, Wayne Whittaker, Joseph Mark Regan III, Zachary Regan, Tyler Regan, Shane Boisvert, Kristi Benoit, and Joseph Merrill Anthony Regan; and her great grandchildren Hannah D'Alessandro and Sebastian D'Alessandro. She was predeceased by her siblings "Brother" Lewis Mariani and Mary Jane Giberson.

Her funeral will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Charles Church, 8 Daniels St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7PM.
