Eleanor M. (Wright) Brander

Eleanor M. (Wright) Brander, 87, of Rehoboth passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Lester E. Brander.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late William S. Wright, Sr. And Kathryn (Overy) Wright, she grew up in Pocasset where she graduated from Bourne High School class of 1954. She settled in Rehoboth in 1959. She was a member of the North Christian Church in North Dighton. Eleanor had worked for the family business, Brander Bus Co. and also for H.P. Hood as well as raising her family.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, read, do puzzles, word puzzles, cooking and baking.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen L. Brander and Diane E. Brander both of Rehoboth; a grandson, Michael Brander of Barnstable; a great grandson, Parker Brander of Barnstable; siblings, Virginia Nielsen of North Falmouth and John Wright, Sr.and his wife Jean of Colchester, CT; a sister in law, Gladys Brander of Attleboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William Wright, Jr., Carol Wright and Marcia Monette.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10AM in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth. Arrangements are by the Foley, Cook, Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 So. Main St., Attleboro, MA. For memorial register please visit, www.hathawayfunerals.com.
