Trail Life Troop RI-1798

Trail Life Troop RI-1798 of Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church (Riverside) spent the afternoon on Saturday, Jan 27, working with Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island in making welcome cards for refugees and others coming to Rhode Island. Trailmen ages 5-10 used colorful paper, pom poms, googly eyes, and other creative materials to express their welcome to those who are displaced or in need in some way. Dorcas International distributes the cards to the homes of individuals and families they work with through the program. During the event, Trailmen learned the value of service—specifically service to the community and giving back—as well as why it’s important that we respect life, especially those lives that are most vulnerable.
