Richard J. Driscoll, Jr., 78, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, in Bowie, Maryland. Born on September 18, 1946, Richard grew up in Fox Point, Providence, RI. He lived in Buffalo, NY, and later in Bowie. Richard was a highly regarded Aerospace Engineer, beginning his career with Bell Aerospace and completing it with NASA Goddard, including work on the Europa Clipper. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He is survived by daughters Anastasia Driscoll and wife Julie Seed, Priscilla Driscoll Shempp and husband Ian Shempp, Patricia Driscoll and husband Ben Greenwald; grandchild William Shempp; Brothers Paul Driscoll and wife Theresa, Robert Driscoll, and Stephen Driscoll and wife Karen; former spouse Priscilla Jan Driscoll.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Driscoll, sister Kathryn Driscoll, and beloved lab, Molly.
