Kathryn E. McCabe Esq.
Kathryn E. McCabe Esq., 42, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 20, 2023, surrounded by her family in St. Anne's Hospital, Fall River. She was the wife of Michael R. Tomasso.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the Frank J. McCabe of Seekonk and the late Mary Lynn (Stetson) McCabe. She was also the step-daughter of Christine A. McCabe of Seekonk. Katie was a lifelong Seekonk resident.
She was Coach Katie to Seekonk baseball players and SJW Cheerleading. She was an avid New England Patriots fan and her love for Tom Brady transcended the Patriots. Katie loved traveling and being on the beach. She enjoyed reading especially John Grisham novels.
She graduated from Bishop Feehan High School, Class of 1998. She was a 2002 graduate of Roger Williams University with a Bachelor's of Science degree and a Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams School of Law in 2005.
She was employed as a real estate lawyer for Equity National Title, Providence for more than 15 years.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her brother Jeffrey C. McCabe of Cumberland. Her step-brothers; Eric Menard and his wife Jen of West Bridgewater, MA., and Jason Menard and his fiance Erica Brett of Coventry. Her four step-children; Alexandra, Celina, Christian, and Madison. She was the daughter-in-law of Lori Gorman of Rehoboth, MA. She also leaves her soul sister Heidi Flynn and her husband Jason Flynn of Seekonk, MA., along with their children: Connor, Emily, and Cooper, and her nieces and nephews: Brittany, Jonathan, Amanda, and Evan. Katie was also momma to her fur baby Leo.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Katie's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3 PM to 6 PM followed by a Prayer Service at 6 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be private.
