June D. Mace

June D. Mace, 85, of Seekonk, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of Harvey A. Mace to whom she was married nearly 65 years.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late August S. and Lydia (Rebello) Dias. June was an administrative assistant for Imports Incorporated/Alcraft before she retired and previously worked for the Pilgrim Screw Corporation.

She was a 1956 graduate of East Providence High School and was the event coordinator for all of the reunions that were held for her class. She was a faithful and long-time communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where she was a member of the choir, the Women's Guild and also taught religious education. She was a former President of the P.T.A. at the Mildred H. Aitken School, was a den mother for the Seekonk Cub Scouts and was a volunteer for Doorways Food Pantry.

June brought a great sense of humanness to all the people that she knew and encountered in her life. She lived her faith, which was the greatest example that she showed to her children. June's children will always remember her as a loving and nurturing mother not only to themselves but to all children.

Besides her husband she leaves three children, Craig A. Mace (Chief, Retired S.P.D.) and his wife Linda of Seekonk, Jacqueline N. Bartlett and her husband Harley of Hope and Terri-Anne Mace of Exeter, two sisters, Lorraine L. Care of Texas and Christine A. Duquette of East Providence, one brother, Thomas Rainey of Providence, one granddaughter, Emma Bartlett, one honorary grandson, Teddy Quinn Brosnihan, one step-grandson, Jason Kwolek, two step great grandchildren, Aaron and Angelina, second mom to nephews, Steve Brosnihan and Ronald Brosnihan, and many loving relatives and friends. She was the mother of the late David J. Mace, identical twin sister of the late Jane D. Brosnihan and step grandmother of the late Jeffrey Kwolek.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 8:45 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
