Lt. Kenneth A. York, 84 of Seekonk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. He was the loving husband of Judith A. (Turbitt) York.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Melvyn and Lillian (White) York. Ken was a member of the East Providence Fire Department for 27 years before he retired with the rank of Lieutenant in 1994. He always enjoyed getting together for breakfast with his friends from the fire station. He also enjoyed golfing and was an avid New England sports fan.

Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Kristen Pruett and her fiancé Lawrence Ouellette, two grandsons, Justin Pruett and Jacob Pruett and two sisters, Jean Serio and Kathleen Jacob as well as many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in Seekonk Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5-7.
