Ronald "Togo" A. Palagi

Ronald "Togo" A. Palagi, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Elderkin) Palagi for twenty-nine loving years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Alfred J., Sr. and Palmy L. (Varone) Palagi.

Ron worked for over 68 years in his family's ice cream business eventually becoming a co-owner of Palagi Bros. & Scoopless Vendors, where he was known to family and many friends as "The Ice Cream Man".

In his leisure time, Ron enjoyed playing golf and basketball and was an avid Boston Celtics, New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. In his younger days, he was the star football and basketball player at William E. Tolman High School, which he graduated from in 1960.

Beside his loving wife, Ron leaves a stepson, John F. Duffy and his wife, Courtney, of Pawtucket; four grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan (Kendall), Collin and Emily Duffy; four great-grandchildren, Jack, April, Margaret and Thomas Duffy; two siblings, Alfred Palagi, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, and Robert Palagi, and many nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Mylee. He was the brother of the late Joan Magill.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Wednesday, March 6th from 10 a.m. to Noon at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. SERVICES will follow the visitation at Noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
