Seekonk TV9 Elects New Board

Seekonk’s local access channel TV9 elected a new Board of Directors at a meeting held December 12. They include Lori Saude, Andrea Rosseter, Jeffrey Starr Mararian, Peter Hoogerzeil, Michael Dressler, Louis Sousa, and Doreen Taylor.

The designation of President and other roles will be determined at the January 15, 2024 meeting.

The state is investigating allegations of discrimination filed by two former TV9 board members.  Deborah Hoch and Kristen Montgomery filed complaints with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination in Boston.

Hoch and Montgomery both allege they were discriminated against by Seekonk Cable Access, on the basis of age and gender, after a special meeting was held in July. A temporary Board of Directors was installed to create a new set of bylaws.
