Kim Nelson (EPPD) & Bob Rodericks
The East Providence Police Department has a new project for Thanksgiving. During these hard times for many, it is hoped that our community can assist our men and women in blue in this cause. While many of us will enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner with family and friends; a significant number of families will struggle. EPPD officer Brandon Normann is organizing a food drive. Can you help?
From Officer Normann:
“The East Providence Police Department, in collaboration with the East Providence School Department and Hope & Faith Initiative, are running their 3rd annual Thanksgiving Dinner Drive. We are collecting and accepting donations of the following items to help support families in need this holiday season.”
• Monetary Donations (To purchase Grocery Store Gift Cards)
• Full Thanksgiving Dinner Spreads
• Butterball Turkeys
• Potatoes or Boxed Mashed Potatoes
• Stuffing mix
• Non-Perishable Goods (canned goods, etc)
“Donations are being collected from October 27th through November 21st. All dry food donations can be dropped off at the lobby of the East Providence Police Station, 750 Waterman Ave, East Providence, RI 02914.
All turkeys and other refrigerated food items can be dropped off at the East Providence School Department Administration Building, 1998 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914. Any and all questions / inquires can be sent directly to Officer Brandon Normann: bnormann@eastprovidenceri.gov.”
“Just last year, I was able to donate 184 complete thanksgiving dinners and desserts to families in East Providence, and my hope is to continue to grow this effort and its reach to those families in need. Thank you for your time and attention in advance!”
God Bless,
Brandon Normann
