Marie Fusako Rennick, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 surrounded by her family. Married for 65 years, Marie was the beloved wife of James J. Rennick, Jr. of Seekonk. She was born in Kiryu, Japan to the late Tsuneji and Kou Yokozuka.
In her early years, Marie had been employed as a dental assistant at U.S. Army, Camp Zama, in Japan. For most of her life until retirement, she worked for the Seekonk School Department as a cook for the Seekonk High School lunch program. Marie enjoyed gardening, attending Providence Bruins games, watching Boston Bruins hockey games, watching the Hallmark channel and attending craft fairs. Above all, Marie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was the beloved mother of Jean (Al) Neves, Patricia (Tim) Murphy, and Paula (Brian) O’Shea. She was the sister of the late, Masako Matsuo. Marie was a caring and loving person to all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 21st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 N. Main Street, Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter at a later date.
