Teen Services at Seekonk Public Library

Teen Advisory Board
Thursday, January 8 at 3:30 PM
**Please note: Meetings are for TAB members only. To join, visit www.seekonkpl.org/teens  and download the TAB application. Email the finished application to teens@seekonkpl.org  or turn it in at the Research Help Desk in the library.

Your opinion matters! If you’re in grade 6 through 12, then you have a chance to make a difference at your library by joining the Teen Advisory Board (TAB). During the school year, we will meet once a month at 3:30 PM to share ideas about upcoming programs and discuss how we can make the most out of the library’s services for tweens and teens. This is an opportunity to practice leadership, collaboration, and civic engagement and to take an active role in shaping the library’s impact on your community. Becoming a member of the board requires a commitment to attend meetings regularly.

Artificial Intelligence: Visual Machine Learning Part 2
Thursday, January 15 at 3:00 PM
Join us for the second session of this workshop on Thursday, January 15 at 3:00 pm to use what we learned in the previous session to train our visual AI program. We’ll use AI Machine Vision Sensors to capture training images and then test the results of our program, making adjustments as needed. Attendance at Session One of this workshop is not required but will be helpful.

This 90-minute event is free and open to tweens and teens in grades 6 through 12. Space is limited and REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR EACH OF THE TWO SESSIONS.

For more information, call Adult Services at the library at (508) 336-8230 or email teens@seekonkpl.org.

Winter Homework Cafe for Tweens & Teens
Thursday, January 29 at 3:00 PM
Back by popular demand, this Winter Homework Café will be much like the Fall Café…if Buddy the Elf was in charge of decorations… Join us for a calm (you might even say “chill”) winter’s afternoon of homework productivity with a café vibe.
You can work on school assignments alone or in groups, enjoy a variety of snacks and drinks, and maybe even bond with your peers over the shared hardship of school life.

This 90-minute event is free and open to tweens and teens in grades 6 through 12. In order to make sure we have enough snacks prepared, please register online at www.seekonkpl.org/events.

For more information, call Adult Services at the library at (508) 336-8230 or email
