Doorways is Celebrating 25 Years of Serving the Seekonk Community

Posted

This November, Doorways will celebrate twenty-five years of providing food support for those of our neighbors facing hard times. This has been made possible by hundreds of local volunteers who donate their time, and by hundreds of local donors who fund our efforts. Food drives by the Scouts, the Letter Carriers, and local schools have provided thousands of pounds of food over the years. Local businesses have set up drop-off points to allow people to donate food conveniently. It has been a collaborative effort by the whole community to meet an essential need.

In November, Doorways will mark its silver anniversary with a dinner celebration at Ledgemont Country Club, with live music provided by Steve Smith and the Nakeds. Donors and volunteers alike will gather to raise a glass to the good work we have done and prepare for the good work to come. "It’s a Celebration" say event organizers, "to gather with our neighbors and toast the many individuals, businesses and community members that have made the last 25 years possible".

Ticket price of $90 covers the price of the event. Tables of 10 are available as well.
