November has arrived in Rehoboth, bringing with it the familiar sights and sounds of autumn's final weeks. The leaves are falling, the mornings are growing colder, and before long, families will be gathering around Thanksgiving tables to share a meal and reflect on the things for which they are grateful.
At the Rehoboth Food Pantry, gratitude is something we experience throughout the year. We see it in the generosity of our neighbors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the countless acts of kindness that help ensure families in our community have somewhere to turn when they need a helping hand.
As we approach Thanksgiving, we would like to take a moment to recognize some of the wonderful people and organizations who continue to make that possible.
A Community That Gives From the Heart
Our sincere thanks go to Rehoboth Congregational Church for its October food drive and continued commitment to supporting the Pantry. We would also like to recognize the Branagan family for their thoughtful Make a Birthday Cake bags. It's a wonderful reminder that helping a neighbor isn't always just about providing the essentials. Sometimes it's about making sure a family can celebrate a special occasion, too.
The Horton Estates Birthday Group once again turned a celebration into an opportunity to give, generously donating food to help keep our shelves stocked. Their ongoing thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated.
We are also grateful for the food donations collected at the Agricultural Fair, where the generosity of our community was once again on display.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish's St. Vincent de Paul Society for its continued support and generosity. Their commitment to helping neighbors in need makes a meaningful difference throughout the year.
And as the growing season comes to an end, we want to offer a particularly warm thank-you to Linden from Rosasharn Farm, who provided fresh produce throughout the summer. We also extend our sincere appreciation to John and Leonard, who contributed produce each week.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are a wonderful addition to the food we distribute, and these generous contributions have helped bring the bounty of our local growing season directly to the families we serve.
To everyone who planted, harvested, collected, donated, or simply thought of the Pantry while going about their day: thank you. Your kindness has touched more lives than you may ever know.
As always, we wish to express our constant gratitude to the Reporter Team! Thank you for always helping get the word out!
And throughout Rehoboth, our community Food Drop-Off Locations continue to collect donations from neighbors who quietly add an extra item or two to their shopping and make sure it finds its way to our shelves. Those individual acts of generosity add up to something remarkable.

Important Thanksgiving Week Schedule Change
With Thanksgiving falling on our usual Thursday distribution day, the Rehoboth Food Pantry will be open on Tuesday, November 24, from 2:30–4:30 PM instead of Thursday that week.
We encourage everyone who visits the Pantry to make note of this change and to help spread the word to neighbors who may not see this announcement.
Our regular distribution schedule remains Thursdays from 2:30–4:30 PM during other weeks.
The Pantry is located at 51 Winthrop Street, Rehoboth, MA.
An Invitation to Be Part of Something Special
The Rehoboth Food Pantry will hold its Annual Volunteer Meeting on Wednesday, December 9, at 7:00 PM at Goff Hall, Blanding Public Library.
Whether you've volunteered with us before or have simply wondered how you might become involved, we warmly invite you to join us.
There are many ways to make a difference. Some volunteers help with food collection, sorting, stocking, and distribution. Others lend their time and experience by serving on our Board of Directors, helping guide the Pantry's work and ensuring we can continue serving our community.
Whatever your interests or availability, there may be a place for you here.
If you would like to learn more, please join us at the meeting or reach out directly to slacourse@gmail.com.
And to our current volunteers, please know how deeply your efforts are appreciated. Much of what you do happens quietly, behind the scenes, but none of it goes unnoticed. The Pantry simply could not fulfill its mission without you.

Giving Thanks, Together
As Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded that a strong community isn't measured only by what it has, but by how willingly its people share with one another.
For some, that means donating a bag of groceries. For others, it's bringing vegetables from a garden, organizing a food drive, volunteering an afternoon, or helping a neighbor discover that the Pantry is here when they need it.
Every act matters.
And while Thanksgiving gives us a special occasion to reflect on our blessings, the kindness that sustains the Rehoboth Food Pantry doesn't begin or end with the holiday season.
It continues through winter, spring, summer, and fall, carried forward by neighbors who understand that caring for one another is something we do together.
From all of us at the Rehoboth Food Pantry, thank you for your generosity, your compassion, and your continued support.
May you and your families enjoy a peaceful, safe, and happy Thanksgiving.
With gratitude,
Scott Lacourse
President, Rehoboth Food Pantry
